RHAG Standing Commitees

The purposes of the following standing committees are as follows:

Budget & Finance Committee

Committee Chair

The Budget and Finance Committee is charged with monitoring of the financial activities of the Association; review and recommend capital and other major expenditures, review and recommend the investment of Association funds, monitor the monthly financial performance of Association, and recommend significant financial policy changes.

The Treasurer of RHAG is to serve as the Chairperson of the Budget and Finance Committee.

Editorial & Marketing AdvisoryCommittee

Committees Chair

The Editorial and Marketing Advisory Committee is charged with overseeing the strategic communications and marketing of the RHAG.

On a continuing basis, the committee is responsible for developing and soliciting content that is in line with the RHAG’s mission and vision and vision for the various communication mediums.

The committee shall provide guidance and maintain integrity of the RHAG and increase the usage of the RHAG brand; assist; in the continuous development/improvement of the website and social media, magazine, newsletters, and other media modes.

Education & Events Committee

The Editorial and Marketing Advisory Committee is charged with overseeing the strategic communications and marketing of the RHAG.

On a continuing basis, the committee is responsible for developing and soliciting content that is in line with the RHAG’s mission and vision and vision for the various communication mediums.

Executive Committee

Committee Chair

The Executive Committee is charged with reviewing the policy issues facing the organization prior to the Board of Director’s meeting and making comment.

Additionally, the Committee can act on behalf of the Board of Directors between meetings. However, any decisions made by the Committee would be subject to review and approval by the Board of Directors.

The Committee is composed of the Chairperson of the Board, President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Sponsorship & Fundraising Committee

Is charged with soliciting Sponsorship for all events, education, and other occasions, as requested

Legislative & Advocacy Committee

The Legislative Steering Committee is charged with reviewing proposed and pending legislation that affects the rental housing industry either directly or indirectly, developing policies and positions that protect and promote the industry, as well as to providing feedback and advice to the Board of Directors.

The Committee is also tasked with providing input and assistance to RHAG staff on proactive activities that promote the industry.

Membership Committee

The purpose of the Membership Engagement Committee is to engage general members, through our committee members, to identify member needs, and relay this information to our other committees with the goal of focusing our efforts on member needs thereby increasing the return on investment.

Nomination Committee

As described in the RHAG Bylaws, the Nominating Committee is charged with developing the
recommendations for the RHAG Board of Directors for all officer and board member positions.

Strategic Planning Group

The Strategic Planning Group will function as a “think tank” for the RHAG Board of Directors advising them on the development and maintenance of a strategic planning process that will position the Association to better serve its members and the rental housing industry.

Will meet tri-annually in conjunction… Chair and Vice Chair will conduct planning as part of the meeting

Special Committee & Task Force

The RHAG Board of Directors has the ability to create special committees and task forces to function in a specific capacity as defined by that body.
